Each Sotheby's International Realty office is independently owned and operated; this policy covers this website only. The Sotheby's International Realty network site at sothebysrealty.com, to which we link for agent profiles and listings, is operated by Sotheby's International Realty Affiliates LLC under its own privacy notice.
What we collect and why
Information you give us
When you submit a form on this site (a contact request, a home valuation request, a relocation guide request, or an agent inquiry), we collect the information you enter: your name, email address, phone number, a property address if you provide one, and your message. We use it to respond to your request, to connect you with an agent, and, if you consent, to contact you about real estate services. Form submissions are delivered to us by email through our transactional email provider and are retained in our email and client records as long as needed to serve you and as required by real estate record-keeping rules.
Property search and listing alerts
Property search, listing galleries, market reports, and listing alerts on this site will be provided by iHomefinder, Inc. using data from the MetroList® MLS. When those features are active, iHomefinder processes your searches and, if you register for alerts or a saved search, your name, email address, and search preferences, and may set cookies needed for the search to function. We will update this policy when the search is connected.
Analytics
We measure site traffic with Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused service that does not use cookies, does not fingerprint devices, and does not track visitors across sites. Cloudflare also serves this site as its content delivery network and sees the technical data any web host sees, such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, which it uses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Spam protection
Our forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated bots. Turnstile evaluates signals from your browser to make that determination; it does not show puzzles and does not track you across sites.
Preferences stored on your device
If you change settings in the site's accessibility panel (text size, contrast, motion, and similar), those settings are stored in your browser's local storage so they persist on your device. They are never sent to us.
What we do not do
This site does not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, session-recording tools, or live chat widgets. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not collect financial account numbers, Social Security numbers, or similar sensitive identifiers through this site, and we ask that you not send them through our forms or by email.
Cookies
This site sets no first-party tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set a cookie strictly necessary for security and bot protection. The property search provider may set cookies necessary for saved searches and sessions to work. Because no non-essential cookies are used, the site does not present a cookie consent banner.
Global Privacy Control
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal information. Because this site does not sell or share personal information, the signal does not change how the site behaves, but we recognize it as a valid request.
Service providers
We use the following providers to operate this site, each of which processes data only to provide its service: Cloudflare (hosting, content delivery, security, cookieless analytics, bot protection); iHomefinder, Inc. (property search and listing alerts, using MetroList® MLS data); and Resend (delivery of form submissions to our email). Agent profiles and the network's listing search are hosted by Sotheby's International Realty Affiliates LLC at sothebysrealty.com under its own policies.
How we use information during a transaction
If you become a client, the information we collect to represent you in a transaction (identification, financial qualification, contracts, disclosures, and communications) is governed by the written agreements you sign with us and by California real estate law, which requires brokers to retain transaction records for at least three years. That information is shared only with the parties and service providers involved in your transaction, such as escrow, title, lenders, inspectors, and the MLS, as needed to complete it.
Your California privacy rights
California residents may have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of sale or sharing, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Whether the CCPA applies to a business depends on thresholds set by the statute; regardless, we will honor reasonable requests. Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Security and retention
The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are transmitted encrypted and delivered to our email; we keep them as long as needed to respond to you and as required by law. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, which is one reason we ask you not to send sensitive financial identifiers through the site.
Links to other sites
This site links to sothebysrealty.com, to our social media profiles, to mapping services for directions, and to other third-party sites. Their privacy practices are their own.
Changes to this policy
